As a mythical creature, the Mandragore is associated with an anthropomorphic plant on the border of the animal kingdom. Cited by of Pythagoras, Plinio, William Shakespeare and Jorge Luis Borges, this plant with feminine forms causes hallucinations and dizziness to the unfortunate who try to tear it away. Fascinated by this creature, Pistrice translated his legend through seductive feminine figures with strong color.
The Riso print illustration were made by il Pistrice in artistic residency at the Inuit sudio in Bologna (Italie).
